Job Description
To support business (MIS & Finance) solutions for Africa, ensuring that Africa Finance Systems functionality is maintained as a single model, and aligned to Group Finance Systems requirements.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain Local Regulatory Reports and Basel II reports across Africa that meet Regulators and Group requirements
• Provide Functional Support for PeopleSoft Financials suite of systems for Africa
• Support the ISC (CHENNAI) as custodian to the Chart of Accounts for core banking system other and TP systems for the businesses including their interfacing to PeopleSoft General Ledger, performing the role of the challenge and change management process
• Support the maintenance of parameters, functionality and reports within the Finance stream, includes interface parameters between TP systems, data warehouse system and the General Ledger
• Manage the update and release of Functional Specifications, Process Model for all African Countries. Provide Support to Countries during and after project implementation & upgrade
• Deputize for the Head, Finance Systems for Africa
Qualifications & Skills
• Degree in computer science and a minimum of 3 years post qualification managerial experience.
• Detailed Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials suite of systems and knowledge of core banking systems and processes.
• Considerable experience in projects management and implementation
• knowledge of banking products and their accounting treatment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Can mange within a multicultural environment
