Agricultural Innovation Specialist - ACDI/VOCA

Agricultural Innovation Specialist, Kenya
We are currently looking for an Agricultural Innovation Specialist for an upcoming multi-year USAID-funded program in Kenya. The program will harness the power of innovative private sector approaches to agricultural solutions by seeking out high-impact innovations and supporting their broad adoption across key regions, thereby accelerating efforts to address poverty and food security needs in Kenya. The position is contingent upon ACDI/VOCA being awarded the program.

Responsibilities:
• Lead all agriculture-related technical assistance on the project.
• Develop partnerships with agricultural stakeholders to identify and select innovations and technologies.
• Support the commercialization and scale-up of selected agricultural innovations.  
• Work with agricultural value chain stakeholders to increase their knowledge and adoption of new agricultural technologies supported by the project.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in agricultural development or related field (technical agriculture, agricultural economics, rural sociology, etc.) is required
• At least seven years of private sector agricultural or similar experience
• Strong record of success in developing partnerships with the private sector
• Strong agribusiness networks in Kenya and the region
• Demonstrated ability to be flexible and creative 
• English fluency required
• Native Kiswahili preferred
